We are looking for a highly skilled and knowledgeable Data Protection Officer (DPO) to ensure our organization’s compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other relevant data protection laws. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data privacy regulations, risk management, and information security practices. As the DPO, you will serve as the primary point of contact for data protection matters, both internally and with external regulatory authorities.
The DPO will be responsible for monitoring internal compliance, informing and advising on data protection obligations, and acting as a liaison with supervisory authorities. You will work closely with legal, IT, HR, and other departments to ensure that data processing activities are conducted in accordance with applicable laws and best practices. You will also be responsible for conducting data protection impact assessments (DPIAs), maintaining records of processing activities, and providing training and awareness programs to staff.
This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex legal and technical information. You must be proactive, ethical, and capable of handling sensitive information with discretion. A background in law, information security, or compliance is highly desirable. The DPO will play a critical role in fostering a culture of privacy and data protection throughout the organization.
